Please note there are planned repairs along the Captain Cook Highway to damage inflicted by Cyclone Jasper last December. This will cause disruptions to Exemplar services.

Seat in Coach:

Management gave careful consideration to detour our ''late night'' seat in coach departures from Cairns Airport to Port Douglas via the tablelands. However, it was decided this is not a viable option. This means that there will be no late-night services from Cairns Airport to Port Douglas (after 1915hrs service) during that period of 15 May through July 22. The early morning Port Douglas to airport service will be 0330hrs (not 0315hrs) to match the 0400hrs road opening.

Private Transfers:

Private transfers from Cairns Airport to Port Douglas must depart before 1915hrs to ensure they beat the closure (Latest scheduled arrival 1835). Travelers who insist on a Private Transfer while the road is closed, which will necessitate a transfer via the Tablelands, will be charged at the relevant 5 Hour Hire rate.

Note:
Australian law requires that children from birth to 7 years inclusive be appropriately restrained in a suitable child car/booster seat.
Car/booster seats must be pre-booked and the child’s age must be advised at the time of booking.

Baggage Capacity: 1 suitcase and 1 carry on per person.

Arrival Information:

- If you have an Australian capable phone, please turn it on as soon as possible. (And please remember to provide us with your number at time of booking).

- After clearing Australian Customs and Quarantine you will enter the Arrivals Hall.

- You will find your driver waiting at the Exemplar Transfer Desk to the left on the opposite side of the hall. Your driver will be waiting 30 minutes after your aircrafts actual landing time and will be holding a board with your name on it.

- After making yourself known to the driver you will be on your way.

- Please note Australian Customs/Quarantine clearance-times are variable. If you anticipate being delayed, please call the Exemplar Office on 07 7213 3333.
