The Tully River is Australia's best white water rafting river with non stop action from the put in to the take out! Your tour starts with a midday pick up from a central location in Mission Beach, enjoy the scenery on the 30 minute drive to Tully. On arrival to Tully, you'll have a chance to grab a light lunch (optional, own expense) before travelling 40 minutes to the top of the Tully Gorge. Meet your River Guide and fellow paddlers and get fitted with a helmet and life jacket before we make our way down to the water. You'll receive a comprehensive safety briefing and paddling instructions, and warm up on a couple of small rapids prior to hitting the white water! Raft your way through awesome grade 3 and 4 rapids that are sure to get your adrenalin pumping and heart racing as you 'paddle forward', 'get down' and 'hang on!' There are some calm water sections on the river where you can catch your breath and take in the spectacular scenery, before hitting the next section of pumping white water! Arriving at the take out point, change into dry clothes before we head to the Feluga Hotel for a well earned country pub dinner. Grab a coldie while comparing river stories with your fellow paddlers surrounded by a living history of Raging Thunder.
After dinner, board the bus and relax while returning you to your accommodation, arriving approximately 8.15pm.~~~~ |
