With ever-changing scenery, wildlife and an array of things to do, Willie Creek offers a fantastic day out. This award-winning tour shows visitors first-hand how pearls are produced at the commercial sea-lease. A guide will accompany you all the way and show you the process of culturing pearls from collection and spawning of oysters in the hatchery through to harvesting and the final product, stunning pearl jewellery. A demonstration using a live pearl oyster is given to reveal the technical and complex operation involved in starting the pearl process. Guests cruise the calm azure waters of willie creek to see live oysters suspended in their natural environment amongst the spectacular native flora and fauna. Guests also enjoy morning or afternoon tea, including home-made damper. At selected tour times, guests can enjoy a pre-booked lunch from the spectacular harvest cafe at willie creek farm(subject to seasonality).
