As Australia's oldest family-owned winery, Yalumba is steeped in history and because of this we have many stories to share, not only about winemaking, but the characters and tales that make Yalumba what it is today.
Our Wine Ambassadors like nothing more than sharing these stories and rich history, along with their wine knowledge with guests. Guests are lead on a private tour of the Yalumba's estate grounds, historic buildings and unique Yalumba Cooperage. At the Yalumba Cooperage guests will hear how the craftsmanship and magic of barrel making occurs. And how a barrel influences the wine that is aged within it.
The tour also includes Yalumba's iconic Clocktower, followed by exclusive access into The Signature Cellar and converted fermentation tanks - Tanks 11 and 12.
This private tour concludes with a comprehensive tasting of Yalumba's Rare and Fine wines, along with a Cooper’s Platter of local artisanal produce to enjoy in our Wine Room or under the verandah (weather permitting).~~~~ |
