Lifting off from the heli-pad in the Hoffnungsthal Valley, enjoy flying past the township of Lyndoch before tracking along the western ridge of the Barossa Valley to Historic Seppeltsfield. Here you will see vineyards contouring the rolling hills, palm tree studded roads and the Seppelt Family mausoleum. From there you will fly over Maggie Beer’s farm and the famous Penfold’s Winery before veering along the eastern side of Nuriootpa, around the Wolf Blass winery, and then marvelling at the view over the large limestone quarry near the town of Angaston. A little further on you will get a bird’s eye view of one of the most beautiful horse racing studs in south Australia – McEvoy-Mitchell Racing. From Angaston the view is an awesome 180-degree view of the Barossa valley and beyond, you can literally see for miles! As you descend into the valley towards Tanunda, your pilot will point out some of the historic buildings and settlements like Chateau Tanunda and Bethany. Beyond Tanunda is Rowland flat – home of the famous Jacobs Creek where you will view some of Australia’s largest wine tanks, some of which are up to 1.4 million litres each. From there we take you to the southern end of the Barossa, past Lyndoch, over the Barossa Goldfields and the Whispering Wall (the Barossa reservoir) before finally returning to the Hoffnungsthal Valley.~~~~
