Experience Rottnest Island by foot on our 12km guided hike. Traverse spectacular coastal headlands, past stunning inland lakes and encounter both natural and man-made attractions along the way. Visit Vlamingh Lookout where you will gain a real perspective of what you’ll find beyond the Settlement. Lake Baghdad where you can stop to watch the birds dancing on the Salt Lakes. These lakes have been recognised as Wetlands of National Importance. Wadjemup Lighthouse where you enjoy views from the highest point on the island. Northern Bays to walk along the calm waters of little Parakeet Bay, Geordie Bay, the Basin, and Longreach bay, the most popular swimming spots on the island.

This hike is a grade 3/6. This means it is suitable for families, but we recommend a moderate fitness level as some inclines and beach walking are included on this tour. If you want to challenge yourself but are unsure if you can manage the full trail, there are options to shorten this hike to a manageable 8km and take out the incline and sand hiking. What to bring comfortable trainers water bottle (at least 1L) Sun protection and hat snacks to enjoy along the trail towel, snorkel and bathers if you want to enjoy an ocean dip post tour cash or credit card to purchase lunch and any drinks for the day.
