Discover Perth’s green heart on a 7 km guided journey through the world’s largest inner-city Park, Kings Park and Botanic Gardens. From a powerful place of reflection from war heroes lost, to the home of ancient trees towering woodlands, and floral delight, the trail you will be guided on will uncover the deepest roots of Kings Park. Take a hike through the treetops along the Federation Walkway, taking in striking artwork celebrating the centenary of Federation, Aboriginal Culture, and the magnificent trees of the Swan Coastal Plain. Visit Gija Jumulu, the 750-year-old Boab tree that journeyed thousands of kilometers to be here in the heart of our city. Marvell in city and river views along the Mt Eliza escarpment.

Hike grading this is a grade 2. It is suitable for families with children. No bushwalking or hiking experience required. These trails tend to be on hard or compacted surfaces, with a small amount of loose surface. Due to distance, we recommend a basic level of fitness. What to bring comfortable trainers water bottle (at least 1L) sun protection and hat cash or card to enjoy a coffee and cake (not included) post hike at the local cafes.
