A Whalesong Cruises courtesy vehicle commences pickups at approx. 08:00am, from your Hervey Bay accommodation for your transfer to Urangan Marina, the departure point of your cruise. (Please call 24 hours prior to cruise to confirm exact pick-up time, as it could be as late as 08:35am, given proximity to marina). At 08:45am, you board MV Whalesong - a 16 metre purpose designed and built vessel with leading edge technology and state of the art comfort.
Also, an environmentally friendly vessel with enclosed and open-air viewing on two levels. 09:00am - Depart the Urangan marina, to the pristine sandy shores of the remote West Coast of iconic Fraser Island on this 5-hour cruise. Heading out from Hervey Bay, enjoy morning tea as you keep your eyes open for plenty of wildlife both in and out of the water - dolphins, turtles, fish and marine birds can all be seen from the vessel on the way from the mainland to the island, so be sure to bring your camera. Once reaching Fraser Island, a tender will transfer you to the island where you'll have 2 hours to enjoy the western beaches of the world's largest sand island, with opportunities for both exploration or simple relaxation available - go for a swim, walk along the sand, go kayaking, play beach cricket, take a ride on our inflatable tube, have a bit of a snorkel or fun fish, or simply take it easy and soak in the QLD sunshine! 12:30pm - Once back on board the boat kick back and enjoy a freshly prepared Aussie style BBQ lunch including delicious Hervey Bay prawns, juicy steak and sausages, salads and fresh bread. All dietary requirements catered for. Featuring a fully stocked licensed bar, free equipment hire and much more. - You can select to make your own way to the marina. There is plenty of parking, it's free and there's no time limit.
- Please advise dietary requirements.
Bad Weather:
- Cruises may be affected by weather conditions. Whalesong will not penalise passengers if they choose not to travel due to bad weather. Bad weather is defined by strong winds, creating a big swell. Rain is not deemed bad weather unless accompanied by wind and swell. The skipper of Whalesong determines what constitutes bad weather. Please call at least 48 hours prior to cruise to hear about weather conditions - if this can be discussed this in advance, and you're flexible, Whalesong endeavour to put you on another cruise on a day with more favourable weather conditions.
COVID-19:
- If guest cannot travel due to Government enforced restrictions, they will receive a full refund. They must notify Whalesong, at least, 24 hours before departure. Otherwise, they'll be regarded as a no-show and will forfeit any refund owing to them.
