Itinerary:
Valid for 01APR24-31MAR26:
A bus with a small Ocean Free/Ocean Freedom sign on the side will pick you up from your hotel - please ensure you are at pick-up point on time for your transfer. On arriving at Marlin Marina Cairns you will be directed to the Reef Fleet Terminal for check-in (from 07:15 am) at the Ocean Freedom/Free desk. After check-in you will be directed to berth 5 on A Finger where (from 07:30am) you will board Ocean Freedom. On boarding enjoy a piece of fresh fruit and Danish pastry with a cup of tea or coffee. Ocean Freedom, a comfortable, fast 20 metre luxury catamaran will depart the dock at 08:00am for a full day cruise to Upolu Cay Reef and Outer Edge Upolu Reef. Due to its high speed, "Ocean Freedom" takes just over an hour to get to the Great Barrier Reef and only 10 minutes travel time between the 2 reef site locations allowing 6 hours of actual reef time with plenty of time to do all activities and still relax. One destination is Upolu Cay Reef. Snorkel or dive (one Introductory Dive is included) the crystal clear protected shallow waters of this “aquarium like” reef site and, when conditions allow, enjoy some time on the naturally formed Coral Cay. Experience an informative Glass Bottom Boat tour with a marine naturalist. After 2-3 hours of water activities and relaxing enjoy a large smorgasbord style lunch while you cruise to the 2nd reef destination. The other reef location is on the Outer Edge Upolu Reef where you can snorkel or dive the amazing "Wonder Wall" (diving is an optional extra). Experience the abundant corals and sea life with an informative guided Adventure Drift Snorkel tour. The order of visiting the reef sites may change to suit the conditions of the day. After 6 hours of un-rushed reef activity and relaxing enjoy platters of fresh fruit, cheese and crackers and cake served by the attentive crew on the cruise home. Cruise concludes in Cairns at approximately 04:30pm, at which time hotel drop offs will commence.
