What to Bring:

Itinerary:

Valid for 01APR23-31MAR25:
Take the plunge and try an introductory dive on a day trip from Cairns with the local experts, Divers Den. If you want to try diving at the Great Barrier Reef, let the friendly and experienced crew be your guide. Do not need any previous experience – if you are comfortable in the water, you can usually dive (please see important information). You will be given briefings, tuition and all the skills practice at the surface to make sure your dive is a safe, amazing experience. With the expert supervision of Divers Den instructors, you will soon be comfortable breathing underwater. During your introductory dive you will descend to 12m (40 feet) below the surface and enjoy the amazing marine life that awaits beneath the waves. We visit two outer reef dive sites every day, chosen from exclusive moorings based on the conditions. Diving equipment is top quality, and vessels are purpose-built for diving, with a spacious dive decks and easy access platform for introductory divers. In between dives, enjoy snorkelling (included for all passengers). While on board, enjoy large sun decks, air-conditioned indoor spaces and delicious food and beverage options.

Important Information:

Valid for 01APR23-31MAR25:

Additional Dives can be booked on board depending on availability. All introductory scuba participants must meet medical questionnaire requirements. Some conditions or medications may prevent you from diving. Currently, the rules state that for a single no-decompression dive, you should not fly/go to altitude for at least 12 hours, or 18 hours after multiple dives. Divers Den recommends waiting a minimum of 24 hours whenever possible. These are guidelines only, there is no guarantee that these recommendations will prevent decompression sickness. There are no current guidelines regarding diving after flying. Altitude is defined as 300m/1000ft above sea level. Certain other tourist attractions around Cairns and Tropical North Queensland involve travelling to altitude including the Atherton Tablelands and the Sky rail Rainforest Cableway. Under normal circumstances, you should be out of the water on your last dive by 2 pm. Includes all equipment and tuition. Intro dive participants must be 12 years or older.
