What to Bring:

Itinerary:

Valid for 01APR24-31MAR25:

Guests begin their journey through Yalumba’s iconic and premium wines at the Wine Room. Greeted by one of Yalumba’s friendly Wine Ambassadors the day will include Yalumba’s stories and exceptional award-winning wines. This progressive tasting experience is a great way to not only hear the Yalumba stories, history and fun tales but also discover the wonderful wines that have evolved and made Yalumba what it is today.

Commencing with Yalumba The Virgilius, a flagship white wine and Australia’s benchmark Viognier. The experience then heads to the Family Tasting Room where family artefacts, photos and paintings line the stunning stone walls. Hear how cricket, horse racing and art have influenced the family and the passions of each generation. Enjoying a Yalumba The Tri-Centenary Grenache from the Rare and Fine collection.

Moving on through the stunning grounds, past the iconic Clocktower to the private Signature Cellar, partake in a comparative tasting of The Signature Cabernet Sauvignon and Shiraz, both current release and our future vintage straight from the barrel. The Signature encompasses everything the family stands for and the perfect representation of Yalumba’s history and ethos. Having visited Yalumba’s labyrinth of former fermentation tanks, guests will then be given rare and privileged access into the family’s personal wine museum, an impressive collection including some of Australia’s first wines and other significant wine labels from the Old World. The experience then makes its way through the winery to the Cooperage, Australia’s only onsite winery Cooperage. Here you will learn how Yalumba barrels are hand crafted, whilst tasting the flagship Shiraz, The Octavius, named after the 100 litre octave barrels iconic to Yalumba. Finally, be guided through three vintages of The Caley Cabernet and Shiraz, voted Australia's Great Red, whilst enjoying an abundant local produce platter.
