Wild Asia is a complete Asian Rainforest with 10 different exhibits.Take the jungle path that appears out of the mists as you meet all manner of forest creatures from the sleepy Binturong to the agile Fishing Cat. Gaze under water into the stream that is home to the magnificently monochromatic Malayan Tapir and the busy oriental Small-Clawed Otter. Wander through Wild Asia's towering aviaries where colourful rainforest birds soar and glide. See the rare Silvery Gibbons swing hand over hand through the trees and glimpse timid Spotted Deer in the dappled shadows of magnificent, historic fig trees. Wild Asia is a 2.4ha rainforest with over 27,000 plants. The area is set along the banks of a forest river that has its source in the high waterfalls and pools before tumbling down to run beside the boardwalk that links all the exhibits. Taronga also offers wonderful close-up experiences with Australia's unique wildlife in the Streets Creatures of the Wollemi exhibit. This amazing bushwalk experience is home to over 200 native animals local to the Blue Mountains. See platypus, echidnas, wallabies, reptiles and birds in the largest walk through aviary in Australasia.
